Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
Tech for Good Advisory (Pty) Ltd, trading as Tech for Good Advisory SA (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through techforgood.consulting and our services, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It applies to this website and to the nonprofit advisory, software-benefit, email, hardware and AI services we provide, and should be read together with our POPIA Policy.
1. What we collect
We only ask for personal information when we genuinely need it to help you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, and the organisation you represent;
- Details about your organisation submitted via our assessment request form — e.g. organisation type, registration status, and a description of how we can help;
- Information you provide when requesting a hardware quote, purchase or rental — e.g. device requirements, delivery address and, where a transaction proceeds, billing details;
- Basic technical information collected automatically when you browse the site, such as browser type, device type and general usage patterns, used only to keep the site working well.
2. How we use it
We use your information to respond to assessment requests and enquiries, prepare quotes for software, email, hardware or AI services, deliver and support services you’ve asked for, and send you confirmation of what you submitted through our forms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes beyond what you would reasonably expect from a nonprofit technology consultancy.
3. Our contact form & security
Our website contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly verification tool that helps us tell people from bots without intrusive challenges. Submissions are processed by a server-side function and delivered to us by email; we do not store form submissions in a separate marketing database. A confirmation copy is sent to the email address you provided, purely as a record for you.
4. Cookies
This site uses a minimal, functional cookie to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Where this changes in future, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
5. Sharing your information
We may share information with trusted parties who help us deliver services on your behalf — for example, our ICT distribution and hardware partners for procurement and warranty purposes, or our email and hosting providers — and only to the extent needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, accounting and tax records). Enquiry and assessment-form submissions that don’t turn into an ongoing client relationship are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. See our POPIA Policy for full detail on how to exercise these rights.
8. Children
Our website and services are intended for organisations and adults acting on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
